NSMQ 22: LAST DAY OF PRELIMS

 


Yesterday, 13th Oct, 2022 was the last day for this year's preliminary stage. Nine contests were done in all across the three venues.

The first contest hosted in the Kumapley auditorium featured University Practice S.H.S, Presby S.H.S, Suhum and EPC Mawuko Girls' S.H.S. This wasn't a contest at all for University Practice S.H.S as they completely demolished the other schools. University Practice scored 79 points to secure a spot in one-eigth stage. Well done and kudos to the whole team.

The first contest in the Saarah-Mensah auditorium was between Aburi Presby S.H.T.S, Nungua S.H.S and Atebubu S.H.S. The lads from Aburi Presby S.H.T.S sent Nungua and Atebubu S.H.S packing as they displayed class, gathering a total of 64 points.

Abetifi Presby S.H.S, Acherensua S.H.S and Kalpohin S.H.S contested in the KNUST S.HS auditorium. Abetifi Presby won with 53 points, earning them ticket to the one-eight stage of the competition.

The second set of contests for the day ended by 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Saarah-Mensah auditorium hosted Mawuli School vs Fijai S.H.S vs Boa Amponsem S.H.S. KNUST S.H.S auditorium hosted that of Krobo Girls' S.H.S vs Bueman S.H.S vs St. Mary's Girls' S.H.S. And Kumapley auditorium hosted Tarkwa S.H.S vs Effiduase Senior High Commercial School vs Sekondi College.

 Mawuli School at the end of their contest won with 42 points and also took the Goil Riddle Bonanza prize for answering 3 out of 4 riddles.

The ladies from Krobo made a smooth win over their opponents. Scoring 41 points to secure themselves a one-eigth stage slot. Indeed, Krobo is glittering and shinning.

Tarkwa S.H.S progressed to the next stage of the competition with 31 points taking a smooth ride over Effiduase Senior High Commercial School and Sekondi College.

In the last set of contests for the day, adventist S.H.S made way to the one-eight stage with 64 points in their contest. Mfantsipim School also won their contest with 61 points. They make it to the one-eight stage of the competition.The very last contest for the preliminary stage of NSMQ 22 was between Kumasi High School, Adiembra S.H.S and Samuel Otu Presby School. Kumasi High School won that contest with 51 points and also progressed to the one-eight stage of the competition.
