ONE-EIGHTH STAGE DAY ONE

 The NSMQ 22 One-Eigth stage started today, 15th October 2022. We had 12 contests across two auditoriums, Kumapley auditorium and Saarah-Mensah auditorium. 


Saarah-Mensah Auditorium 

The first contest was between Osei Kyeretwei S.H.S, Yaa Asantewaa Girls' S.H.S and Bolgatanga S.H.S. At the end of the contest OKESS won this contest with 38 points, YAGHS had 24 and Bolgatanga had 03 points. OKESS is the first school to qualify to the quarter finals of this year's competition. 

Contest two was between Odorgono S.H.S. Ghanata S.H.S and St. Louis S.H.S. Ghanata S.H.S won this contest over her opponents with 28 points while Odorgono and St. Louis went home and back to preliminary stage with 21 points each.

The third contest for the day featured Mfantsipim School vs Presby S.H.S,Suhum vs Techiman S.H.S.  This contest ended with 39, 38 and 27 points respectively.  Botwe's win was a narrow one. All the same, congratulations for qualifying to the quarter finals.

The very last contest of the day held in this auditorium was between, Mawuli School, Wesley Girls' High School and Awudome S.H.S. At the end of the contest, Mawuli School won with 53 points sending Wesley Girls' and Awudome back to the preliminary stage. Wey Gey Hey for the first time since 2014 goes back to prelims.

Kumapley Auditorium. 

The first contest of the day featured, Abetifi Presby S.H.S, Sonrise Christian High School and Kumasi Wesley Girls' High School. At the end of this contest, Abetifi Presby S.H.S made it to the quarter finals stage with 50 point. Impressive. Sonrise Christian High School had 28 points and K Wey Gey Hey had 2 

St. Hubert Sem. S.H.S, Ashaiman S.H.S and Sogakope S.H.S contested against each other as the second contest of the day held in the Kumapley auditorium. At the end of the contest, St. Hubert Sem. S.H.S sent Ashaiman S.H.S and Sogakope S.H.S packing as she won her contest with 30 points, progressing to the quarter finals.

The third contest in this auditorium featured, Tamale S.H.S, Mankraso S.H.S and S.D.A S.H.S, Bekwai. Tamale S.H.S won this contest with 34 points against the other contestants who had 31 and 10 points respectively.  Tamale S.H.S secures a slot in the quarter finals.

The last contest of the day was between, Aburi Presby S.H.T.S, Anglican S.H.S, Kumasi and Nkwatia Presby S.H.S. Aburi Preby won this contest with 47 points. Kudos!
