QUARTER FINALS DAY ONE-NSMQ 22

The quarter finals for the 2022 edition of the NSMQ started today. There were 3 contests all in the Saarah-Mensah auditorium, KNUST.

The quarter finals through to the grande finale is to be hosted by Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann as quiz mistress.

The day started off with the first contest between Osei Kyeretwei S.H.S,  Abetifi Presby S.H.S and Ghanata S.H.S. This contest ended with Abetifi Presby qualifying to the semi final stage of the competition with 51 points. A very narrow escape as Osei Kyeretwei had 50 points and was right behind them. Ghanata had 36 points.

The second contest of the day saw St. Hubert Sem S.H.S vs Tamale S.H.S and Mfantsipim School contesting for a spot in the semi finals. Kwabotwe saw victory at the end of this contest. She won with 51 points. St. Hubert had 45 points and Tamale and 38 points.

The last contest of the day was between the defending champions, Prempeh College against Mawuli School and Aburi Presbyterian S.H.T.S. A very impressive performance from Aburi Presby but Prempeh indeed is here to defend their title as reigning champions. These were the scores at the end of the day. Prempeh college had 47, Aburi Presby had 41 and Mawuli had 37.

Congratulations to all School that qualified.  See you in the semi finals.
