ONE-EIGTH- DAY 3

 


The third day of the one-eigth stage of the 2022 edition of the NSMQ featured 8 contests, 4 in Saarah-Mensah auditorium and 4 in Kumapley auditorium. 

The first contest of the day in Kumapley was between Accra Academy, Our Lady Of Mt Camel Girls' and Adu Gyamfi S.H.S.  At the end of this contest, Our Lady Of Mt Camel had 29 points, Adu Gyamfi had 35 points and the winner of the contest,  Accra Aca had 60 points. Bleooooo!

Bishop Herman College, Kumasi Academy and Fiaseman S.H.S contested as the first contest in the Saarah-Mensah auditorium. Biheco won this contest with 43 points. Fiaseman had 36 points and Kumaca had 35 points. 

The second set of contests for the day in the Kumapley auditorium featured, PRESEC-LEGON, Asanteman S.H.S and Shama S.H.S. This contest ended with 54, 45 and 14 points respectively. Thus, the Blue Magicians make it to the quarter finals. Presec-Legon and Asanteman both take home GHc2,400 each for getting perfect scores in the problem of the day.

Pope John Min., Fijian S.H.S and West Africa S.H.S contested as the second contest for the day in the Saarah-Mensah auditorium. The Pope school won this contest with 31 points. Her opponents, WASS had 28 and Fijai S.H.S had 24 points.

Contest three of the day in Kumapley auditorium was between Osei Tutu S.H.S, Toase S.H.S and Chemu S.H.S. OT qualified to the quarter finals as she won the contest with 55 points. Her competitors had 33 and 19 points.

In the Saarah-Mensah auditorium, St. Augustines College locked horns with Achimota School and Tamale Islamic S.H.S. Augusco won this contest with 48 points. Tamale Islamic had 37 points and Motown had 34 points. APSU! Action nkotsei!

The last contest in the Kumapley auditorium featured Assin State College, Amaniampong S.H.S and Kanton S.H.S. At the end of the contest, Assin State College had 31 point, Amaniampong S.H.S had 30 points and Kanton S.H.S had 15 points. Such a narrow escape for Assin State College.  

Ghana National College, Mpraeso S.H.S and Nandom S.H.S contested in Kumapley auditorium as the last contest for the day. In the end, Ghana National qualified to the quarter finals with 28 points. Mpraeso had 25 points and Nando had 20 points.
