BREAST CANCER.

  The month of October every year is a month for breast cancer awareness. This is where people get the chance to learn more about breast cancer and be aware of it.  What is breast cancer? Cancer is a disease wherein some of the body's cells proliferate uncontrollably and spread to other bod parts.One type of cancer that begins in the breast is breast cancer.It may begin in either the left or right breast even both.There are numerous places on the breast where breast cancer can start.Lobules, ducts, and connective tissue make up the three basic components of a breast. The glands that create milk are known as lobules.Milk travels in tubes called ducts all the way to the nipple.Everything is surrounded by and held together by connective tissue, which is made up of fatty and fibrous tissue. Most breast cancers begin in the ducts or lobules.Blood and lymph vessels are two ways that breast cancer can spread outside of the breast.Breast cancer is said to have metastasized when it spreads

NSMQ 2022 GRAND FINALE

  The NATIONAL SCIENCE AND MATHS QUIZ COMPETITION 2022 edition came to its end yesterday, 26th October 2022. It was held in the Great Hall of KNUST, Kumasi.  There was an opening ceremony to start the day.  There were speeches by sponsors of the quiz. There was also a time of jama where each was given some minutes to do their jama. Each schools anthem was respectfully sung and students and old boys sung to it. There were three schools involved. Presbyterian Boys Secondary School,  Prempeh College and Adisadel College. Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann was the quiz mistress for this contest. The quiz started off in not much of a good way as schools fumbled and lost major points in the round. Not giving up, each school started to pick up little by little.  The first round ended with Prempeh College being in the lead with 16 points, Presec, Legon having 15 points and  Adisadel College 14 points.  The second round continued and Presec Legon and Prempeh tied with 21 points each. NSMQ 22 SEMI FINALS.

  The semi finals for the National Science and Maths Quiz 2022 happened yesterday 23rd October 2022 at the Saarah-Mensah Auditorium  in KNUST, Kumasi. There were three contests in all. Each contest featuring 3 schools. In the first contest of the day, we had Prempeh College, Abetifi Presby and Mfantsipim School contesting against each other. The Amanfour saw victory once again in this contest. They won the contest with 49 points. Abetifi Presby had 43 points and Kwabotwe had 41 points. Prempeh College qualified to the finals. The second contest of the day featured PRESEC-LEGON vs St. James Sem. S.H.S vs Kumasi High School. The Blue Magicians once again won this contest smoothly with 51 points and a huge gap between her and her opponents. St. James had 35 points and Kumasi High had 8 points. The Presbyterian Boys qualified to the finals. The last contest of the day saw Adisadel College qualifying to the finals after locking horns with Opoku Ware  School and St. Augustines College. The S

QUARTER FINALS-LAST DAY

  The quarter finals for the NSMQ 2022 edition ended today. 3 schools qualified.  3 contests were held in the Saarah-Mensah auditorium with 3 schools each in a contest and a winner from each contest. St. Augustines College locked horns with Osei Tutu S.H.S and Ghana National College as the first contest of the day. This contest ended with Augusco qualifying to the semi finals with 67 points. OT and National both had 40 points each. The day followed with a contest between Assin State College,  Swedru S.H.S and Adisadel College.  Adisadel College won this contest with 31points, Assin had 29 and Swedru had 24 points. The last contest for the day featured Opoku Ware School vs Keta S.H.T.S vs Adventists S.H.S, Bantama. At the end of the contest, Opoku Ware won the contest with 59 points. Keta had 43 points and Adventist had 31. St. Augustines College, Adisadel College and Opoku Ware School qualified to the semi finals at the end of the day.  Congratulations to all School.

QUARTER FINALS - DAY TWO

  The second day of the quarter final stage of the NSMQ 2022 featured 3 contest in the Saarah-Mensah.  The first contest of the day was between Ghana S.H.S, Koforidua, St. James Sem. S.H.S and Kumasi Sec, Tech School. This contest ended with St. James progressing to the semi finals of the competition as she won her contest with 44 points. Ghanass had 29 points and Kumasi Sec Tech had 23 points.  The day continued with a contest between Kumasi High School, St. Francis Xavier Jnr Sem and Bishop Herman College. Kumasi High School won this contest with 59 points. Her opponents, St. Francis Xavier Jnr had 31 points and Biheco has 25 points. The last contest of the day featured the Blue Magicians of Presec-Legon vs the Bleoo Boys from Accra Aca and The sailors from Pope John Min. Sem. The Blue Magicians sent the bleoo boys back home while the sailors sailed back home in defeat. Presec-Legon had 67 points at the end of the contest, Accra Aca had 33 points and Pojoss had 26 points. INFLATION IN GHANA

 Inflation is the rate at which a currency's value is falling and, as a result, prices for goods and services are generally rising. Inflation is sometimes put into three types: Demand-Pull inflation, Cost-Push inflation, and Built-In inflation. Demand-pull inflation, which economists define as "more money chasing fewer goods", is the increasing pressure on prices that accompanies a scarcity in supply. This is more in line with the fundamental idea of supply and demand, which states that higher demand raises prices and larger supply lowers prices all else constant/ceteris paribus . The world's oil-producing nations' decision to reduce the global supply of oil is a classic illustration of this form of inflation. QUARTER FINALS DAY ONE-NSMQ 22

  The quarter finals for the 2022 edition of the NSMQ started today. There were 3 contests all in the Saarah-Mensah auditorium, KNUST. The quarter finals through to the grande finale is to be hosted by Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann as quiz mistress. The day started off with the first contest between Osei Kyeretwei S.H.S,  Abetifi Presby S.H.S and Ghanata S.H.S. This contest ended with Abetifi Presby qualifying to the semi final stage of the competition with 51 points. A very narrow escape as Osei Kyeretwei had 50 points and was right behind them. Ghanata had 36 points. The second contest of the day saw St. Hubert Sem S.H.S vs Tamale S.H.S and Mfantsipim School contesting for a spot in the semi finals. Kwabotwe saw victory at the end of this contest. She won with 51 points. St. Hubert had 45 points and Tamale and 38 points.  The last contest of the day was between the defending champions, Prempeh College against Mawuli School and Aburi Presbyterian S.H.T.S.
